PrettyHappyFunny and a little too Real

Pretty the big girls have been having fun, inventing new ways to put up their hair for ballet
Happy ten years of priesthood
Funny this video is the girls singing a Mother's Day song in Romanian- the 'funny' comes at :29 or so.
Real this was a month ago; a family friend's dog decided he needed to show the 2-year old that he was dominate over her. She got the message. Praise God- her face is fine now, and she still likes dogs.
more phfr at like mother, like daughter...stay tuned for another wedding there soon!

  1. Poor baby girl! At first I thought it was marker :(

I am always freaked out by dogs at the same level as toddlers. I know most dogs are great and wouldn't snap, but clearly it does happen. Glad she's okay now! (Amazing she still likes dogs after such a scare!!)

    1. baby girl doesn't draw of her face with marker (just the hands), but she will put on mascara and lipstick (rather well actually) ;)

  2. I'm sure her Uncle M would not hesitate to shoot that dog. (just saying...) Actually, he just told me he would have taken his belt off and strangled it on the spot. (I think he's kidding???) The girls' song is lovely. Your icon corner is looking great-- maybe a tutorial is in order??

    1. good ol' Uncle M! Luckily, the dog 'just' nipped and her eye and mouth weren't touched. I'll tell you- it was the hardest time to have to 'smile and wave'

  3. I remember when my girls were little and practiced doing one another's hair. How fun! I'm so glad that your little one is okay after her way too close encounter with that dog.

    1. the second day after she got nipped- I thought it would be bad- but she healed really quickly! I guess that is an advantage to being young

  4. We recently moved into a new house, and our neighbors on either side have dogs. One is the world's oldest basset hound that our neighbor will occasionally put outside on a tether, and it never moves the whole time. The other is a pomeranian: one of those dogs you could put in your purse. These are the least-threatening dogs in the universe. My girls, 3 and 5, are TERRIFIED of them, and will refuse to go outside because the dogs MAY be there. Neither of them have ever had a bad experience with dogs, and have had a fair amount of exposure, but I just don't know how to help them get over this fear.

  5. Can they bring the dogs a treat (with the neighbors' permission, of course)- you could make a big deal out of buying it with the kids at the store. and teach them how to let the dog sniff them, etc. They don't have to be risky with unknown dogs, but it is a shame that they are afraid of neighbor dogs
